Seasonal Tree Tips: Late Fall / Winter

Be sure to maintain deer protection through the end of December.  There are various types of deer protection available at your local garden supply store.  If fencing is not feasible there are many natural products, as well as native plants, that act as deterrents.

You will also want to make sure your evergreens are protected from windburn.  This is performed as a spray application to be applied twice over the winter season.

Fall is also a great time to prune trees and shrubs or transplanting trees that may have outgrown their current location or to be used as screening or shade at another spot on your property.

Do you have a nearby property with unsightly views or need more privacy? Now that the trees are losing their leaves it's a good time to identify those 'view issues'.   Consider installing screening evergreens, which offer the privacy of fencing in a more natural way. Give us a call to discuss screening options!

With our own nursery and a vast network of other tree sources, we can find just the right trees for your needs.  We provide no-cost site visits and cost estimates.
